About The UKSBA
Mission
The UK SBA exists to create educational, research and career opportunities for students and professionals of the UK who are interested in space life and space medical sciences; and to promote UK involvement in human space flight as a means of enhancing and strengthening the academic, medical, industrial and economic foundations of the UK.
Aims
The aim of the organisation is to advance the research and conduct of the space life, space medical sciences and related sciences in the UK with a view to:
- Stimulating investigation and study
- Disseminating pertinent knowledge and information
- Establishing and maintaining cooperation between the physiological, medical and other science disciplines concerned with space biomedicine
Status
The UK Space Biomedicine Association is currently going through a period of restructuring. In the forthcoming months the members web site will go live and provide details of how the UKSBA can help those of you interested in space biomedicine in the UK. Details of our yearly events will also be posted as will information as to how you can join our organisation and become an active part of a movement that advocates UK involvement in human space flight.
