ESA Space Medicine Workshop

ESA's Directorate of Human Space Flight Crew Medical Support Office offered students of physiology, medicine, sports science, biomedical engineering and other life science related fields of study the opportunity to take part in 'Space Medicine 2011', a workshop for students. Attendees were addressed directly by the ESA Director of Human Spaceflight, NASA's Director of Space Life Science and the Canadian Space Agency's Director of Astronauts, Life Science and Space Medicine. Lectures were given by space physiology and space medicine experts and first hand experience was passed on from the team that directly supports the health of European astronauts. Participation in practicals and demonstrations was also be part of the workshop programme.

Participants definitely learned a lot from the off-world basic life support and artificial-gravity workshops, but I think that the workshop on functional medicine on the third day is the most important among all the workshops given. xlpharmacy
The participant are so lucky. They will learned a lot from this workshop and experience some extraordinary things that can man cannot do.
