REASONS WHY YOUR INCOME LEVEL DOES NOT GROW
REASONS WHY YOUR INCOME LEVEL DOES NOT GROW
Do you struggle to increase your income?
What is it that hinders you from increasing your income?
Many people struggle to increase their income, but unfortunately, there isn’t a particular method to improve it.
The following are some of the reasons your income does not grow.
1. Focusing so much on decreasing the expenses instead of on increasing the income
You either belong to a category of people focused on controlling their expenses or improving their income.
You should focus on increasing your income as you control how much you can earn. The expenses you may not contain as it is out of your hands. You don’t have control of the price of commodities you want to buy.
Increase your income potential by earning more.
2. Giving excuses
You can not increase your income if you keep giving excuses for your failures. If you find yourself giving a reason why you are not promoted at work, you were unable to close that business deal; you will never grow your income.
If you fail to be promoted, consider why you failed and work on the reasons to get the promotion next time.
When a business opportunity fails, go back to the drawing board and learn how to do it well.
The excuses will only hold you back if you don’t improve on yourself.
3. Focusing on what you will gain
If your focus is on what you gain after doing something, you will not see when an opportunity presents itself.
Always avoid focusing on short-term gains but bring passion and hard work to whatever you do.
You don’t increase income through greed and expectation.
Thinking about your personal interest is the root of all your struggle.
If you clear your mind of this attitude, you will start seeing opportunities everywhere.
4. Not having a go-getter spirit
A go-getter person will always have a spirit of how to get more money and from whom.
The go-getters operate from service. When you start running from service, you begin growing in your professional, work, or business.
You start looking for opportunities on how you can be of service to your company and clients.
When you offer a service, you get paid.
5. Failure to invest in training and development
People will pay you for services rendered if you are good at something. You have to improve your skills through learning and training. You don’t have to wait for the company to sponsor your career development training. Take 10% of your income to enhance your skills. You have to be good at what you do so that people can invest in you.
Your skills are what will increase or stagnate your income.
6. Lack of a mentor in life
In your professional life, you need someone better than you as your mentor. Your mentor has to be someone doing something or in a position yo would like to hold in the future.
Someone whose dreams are more prominent than yours. Your mentor will help you get better at what you do.
If your income does not grow, having a mentor in life will help you to do well.
Look for a person who can mentor you.
